Work began on aggregating information on Virginia Beach City Council Meetings. City Council video and agenda links are collected and created as content on the DTRT website. View the Virginia Beach City Council Meeting archive.

Experimentation with AI systems to extract voting records began. DTRT website adapted to track individual agenda items and votng records.

Decision made to abandon AI and automation technologies and mannualy transpose voting records. This is due in large part to voting records being distributed as physically scanned paper pages that are, blurry, off-axis, and lacking in uniformity of formatting.

Voting records database launches with records dating back to January 2022 and including resolutions, ordinances, and planning items. Information includes agenda item summary, the council action taken on the agenda item, and the member level vote result.

Individual PDF’s and and video clips made available on Agenda Item pages for all 2023 votes and all 2022 disputed votes. Add ability to filter agenda items by type of vote (Ordinance, Resolution, Planning, etc..), the action taken (Approved, Denied, Defered, etc..)

Discussions and briefings from work sessions made available as Agenda Items with video clips, PDF presentations, and ability to filter by topic and presenter. 

Formal and work session agenda items from 2021 added to the database with PDF’s and video clips availabe for disputed votes and work session items.
